The Development Association of Seinäjoki Region
The LAG
Liiveri is a local action group (LAG) for rural development operating in beautiful and unique province of South Ostrobothnia. The Development Association of Seinäjoki Region was founded in 1997. The aim of Liiveri's development program is to increase the competitive capacity of the area to make the region more attractive living environment, especially for young people, so that an increasing number will want to live and work in the region throughout their lives. To maintain the vitality of the region Liiveri offers partial EU-funding for enterprises and development projects. The members of the association are active private people, representatives of associations, enterprises and public communities.
What Liiveri is doing
Liiveri’s operations are open for everyone and are politically and religiously independent. Anyone can participate to the rural development by fulfilling a project, by being part of it or by becoming a member of the association. Liiveri encourages residents, associations and companies of the area to develop their operations and own neighborhood.
Liiveri grants funding to common-good projects and company supports. The project’s applicant can be a company, an association or an organization of Liiveri’s area. Projects can be also fulfilled in a wider area. Liiveri inspires its area’s operatives to network and share their experiences at regional, national and international level.
